Mr. Arun
Hi, my name is Arun Pandey. I’m the father of Yash.
He just graduated from ASBGV.
He joined ASBGV in Grade 10.
When we came here, it felt like, ah, okay, it looks like we have come to the right place. In the Admissions Office, we met Mr. Martin and Ms. Stella, who was so understanding, almost like they knew what we were going to ask before we even said it.
They explained everything clearly, what we would get, what to expect, and that gave us confidence right away.
From the entrance itself, everyone was so welcoming. They guided us to the office, and the reception we received there made us feel that they were ready to listen to our needs, our questions, everything.
In the three years he was here, Yash took part in drama performances on stage. We saw him grow into a very good dancer, and he has been performing well.
Academically, he was already strong in his previous school, but here, he grew to the next level. He became a speaker in one of the TED shows, and this year, he was also one of the organizers. He went on many field trips, including one to the U.K. He joined the Student Council, became part of the National Honor Society, and participated in as many extracurricular activities as he could.
Sometimes we thought, he’s doing so much, he should take a break! But somehow, Yash was never ready to take a break.
That’s something he learned here, never say no, never relax, just keep doing your best, and keep doing more and more.
Like in our culture, we say, “Yeh dil mangey more” which means “This heart desires more, this heart wants more.”
Obviously, the credit goes to the school, because ASBGV is the place, and the teachers are the people who gave him all those opportunities.
For us as parents, everything was also very accessible. The teachers were approachable, the office was open to communication, and whenever there was any doubt, we could easily come and talk to anyone.
It truly felt like being part of a family — a big ASBGV family. This school was also a family for us, and we will keep that in our hearts wherever we go.
Finally, Yash achieved what he had been dreaming of. He received admission to UC San Diego, where he will study psychology and psychiatry.
That’s exactly what we wanted and what Yash wanted. So, what else can you dream of? It truly feels like a dream come true.
I think ASBGV, as a family and as an institution, is continuing to grow along with the challenges of the modern world and the evolving world of academia. We were so comfortable throughout this journey, and we hope that the memory of ASBGV will never fade from our hearts.
