ASB GV Robotics Program

About the program

Our Robotics program engages kids in elementary through high school in exciting, mentor-based, research and robotics programs that help them become science and technology leaders, as well as well-rounded contributors to society. We aim to inspire young people's interest and participation in science and technology and encourage students to pursue education and careers in STEM-related fields, inspire them to become leaders and innovators, and enhance their 21st century, work-life skills.

Robotics is integrated into all computers and technology classes with a dedicated subject for high school to explore advanced technological skills beyond robots. Students in all levels will be exploring fun and exciting ideas and learning through STEM projects. Students in the high school robotics class will have the opportunity to participate in local, regional, or global competitions where they will be challenged to research, design, and create. They will also be encouraged to manage a student-based organization which they will need to plan business strategies, earn publicity, fundraise, as well as make a positive impact on the community with their knowledge and skills.

After school programs for Elementary and Middle School students

ASB Green Valley also has an after school Robotics Programs for students who are interested in diving deeper into the world of STEM. Students will get to do more hands-on activities and learn from competition veterans and student mentors. They are also encouraged to join the team and participate at the end of the year Robotics competition which will have new themes or learning topics each year.

Students will get to design and build freely as they explore different scientific and engineering concepts. They will gain experience in teamwork and cooperation as they share their creativity and imagination with each other through their work. Their learning will be focused through the lens of a STEM project that urges them to imagine, inquire, and investigate the world around them and showcase their experiences through it.
